The Tiger Who Came to Tea!

We have been looking at the story 'The Tiger Who Came to tea' as part of our work on stories in Literacy. 

We have made tiger paper by shredding black sugar paper and arranging it onto orange paper to look like tiger stripes.

We have been using role-play to perform the story to each other. We like using the tea set to help us.

We made our own cakes and sandwiches so that we could have a tea party. We had a great afternoon eating our goodies and drinking tea and then we had a surprise....a tiger came into the classroom!!! 

The Very hungry caterpillar

This week we have read the story of 'The very hungry caterpillar'. The caterpillar ate his way through lots of delicious foods. We decided to see what the caterpillar could eat in our classroom.

Welcome to Year 1!

This week year 1 have been very busy settling into their new classroom and exploring inside and out! 

We started our week by looking at our 'Golden Rules' and thinking about why we have them and how we can keep them. We decided that our school would be a sad place if we didn't have golden rules and we are very glad that our school is such a nice place!
